Maniac Monday #9

I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving Holiday. We had a great time. Three turkey dinners and a wonderful smoked turkey noodle soup I made for my family. We played games, talked, took pictures, ate just enough, had pie for breakfast, slept in, stayed up late, watched movies. It was a fun time. Now back to the daily grind.

I took last week off from blogging and even thinking about my blog. I kept up on some reading but I am a few days behind. I hope I have not missed to much. I did get a few things done but on Friday my machine got moved and has not been put back together.

I am going to keep my list from two weeks ago pretty much the same. I have a few days to finish two of my biggest goals so that will be all I am working on until Thursday.

1. Do my flowers for The Inchy Hexagon Flower Swap.~Done

2. Make/buy gifties X 3 for my Santa Sack Swap2 partner.
I have made one giftie. Of course no pictures, LOL! I will be working on the other two over the next few days.
3. Make/buy gifties X 12 plus white elephant gift for Parma Quilters Anonymous gift exchange.
I have one gift made and I am working on a few others. I have ideas for the others. Now I just need to finish this as well over the next few days.
4. Rip/cut sheets into fat quarters.
I have not done this one yet.
5. Finish wall hanging for Jayden.
Little guy is coming today so I need to finish this. Hopefully he will be home by Tuesday evening if everything goes well.
6. Make matching receiving blankets and burp cloths.
Same as above!
After I finish all of this then it is time to to think about Christmas gifts. Thankfully I have trimmed the list down to just about nothing. It will be just a bunch of small things.

The Traveling Stash box I sent to Jessica has been received and now she is having her give away, go check it out at Quilty Habit Traveling Stash Give Away.

Maniac Monday #8

Hello everyone. I hope that I have not upset anyone with my post yesterday. As of this moment I only have 6 comments for the Traveling Stash Give Away. I will post pictures of some of the things in the box tomorrow to see if I can entice more fellow bloggers.

Here was my list for last week.

1. Fix the 1st Canton Village BOM block and make block 2.
Done~I did fix it. I took out the pieces I wanted to keep and added the tan background. It really tones down the block. I did not get to block 2.

2. Make Designer Mystery BOM block for October.
I did not get to this. I need to I have November's block now as well.
3. Make my block for my November partner for Block Swap Adventure.
Done~This is not a good picture at all. I tried fixing it but it just would not work. It looks like it is on white but it is really a white on cream. Sorry Pam, it will look a lot better in person. I will get this in the mail on Friday.

4. Make my two flowers for The Inchy Hexagon Swap partner for November.
I did not get to this. I did not even pick out any fabric.
5. Make my November block for Let's Bee Together.
Done~I love this block. It has so much movement. Staci sent HST sew/cut paper to use. It was so fun and fast. I found a couple of websites that you can print off papers at home. I am sure there is more but check these out.

6. Finish my November block for Birdie Stitches.
Done~ I love it. So cute!! I am wondering if I should add the name of the month to the block. It seems a little overkill. I am not sure yet.

This next week is loaded with all kinds of things. How many turkey dinners are you having? With all the different family groups we will be having 4. Wow that is A LOT of turkey and pie. I can't wait. So for this next week I thought about making a smaller list but I need to get a lot done before Thanksgiving.

Next  weeks list:
1. Do my flowers for The Inchy Hexagon Flower Swap.
2. Make/buy gifties X 3 for my Santa Sack Swap2 partner.
3. Make/buy gifties X 12 plus white elephant gift for Parma Quilters Anonymous gift exchange.
4. Rip/cut sheets into fat quarters.
5. Finish wall hanging for Jayden.
6. Make matching receiving blankets and burp cloths.

It sure is a lot but I know there is more. I am going to stop listing there.

Time for the Traveling Stash Give Away!!

This give away is not closed. I will post the winner in the morning!

I have had so much fun with the Traveling Stash. I have had it about 5 or 6 days. I have touched every piece maybe even more than once. I am not going to show pictures of the items. I feel it needs to be a surprise. I can say that I crammed it back into a Large Flat Rate box but just barely. Look at the box I received from Sarah. HUGE!! I loved it.

It stood at 11 1/2 inches!! I just can't pay that kind of shipping so I had to shrink it down. Don't worry it is still very stuffed with great things!

It was filled with so many goodies. I had a hard time picking out of it what I wanted. BUT I snatched those apple cores the second I saw them. Thank you Sarah for putting them in there. I can't wait for a chance to make a quilt out of them. I already have my layout planned. I am so excited.

I am not going to do Maniac Monday today I will do it tomorrow.

Here are the rules for the Traveling Stash:

1. You have to be an active blogger.
2. After you take what you want from the Stash, you must promise to pass it on promptly, after
adding back in comparable items in comparable amounts to what you removed. Please use
good quilt shop quality fabric, and put in things you would want to receive yourself!
(The Golden Rule is a good guide for the Traveling Stash!)
3. Sorry but this giveaway is only open to residents of the US.

Now for the give away:
I would love for you to be a follower but you do not have to be.
Get two chances to win:
1. Leave a comment. Please tell me something that your family does for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Please don't tell you you eat a big meal we ALL do. But tell me something that you family does for those holidays that makes it special.
2. Please post about the give away. The more people that knows about this the funner it becomes. Please leave a second comment telling my you have done this with a link back to that post, not your whole blog but that post. I will be checking. :) (only because I want to see what you are up to)

That is it. I will leave this give away open until November 17th. That is three days from now. No need to keep it open any longer. I will post Friday morning with the winner and get the box shipped off to you that afternoon.

Missing Block and Flower Pictures

This post is mostly for me. As I was getting organized with a few things I realized I did not post a few (ok a lot) of block and flower pictures. So this is post just a way for me to catch up on them and it will be very picture heavy.

Maniac Monday #7 on Monday :)

I did get a few things done this last week. This colder weather is harder on me and sometimes I just can't get this chair off my dumb long enough to do any sewing. I am feeling better. The time change was not a good thing for Chomper, he was up at 5:30 am. Ok that is WAY to early!!

Here is my list from last week...

1. Finish a gift for a friend.
Done~I can't show you a picture until after Christmas but here are the packages I mailed off this morning.

2. Canton Village BOM block 1 and 2.
Well kinda...I made the first block, but I don't like it. I decided to you a layer cake of Fandango that I have been holding onto. I used a lighter pattern fabric from the collection for the background but I did not have enough. Then when I started on the second block I realized doing it this way was not going to work. I went and bought some Kona Khaki to use a background in all of the blocks. I will have to unpick block one and resew it. Here are a few pictures of my adventures with this today.

3. Birdie Stitches for October.
Done~I loved this block. I love this time of the year so I was so glad to see pumpkins!

4. Designer Mystery BOM for October.
I did not get to it. Did not even get it out of the package.

5. Binding on Jayden's wall hanging.
Looked at it long enough to move it, LOL!!

Next weeks list...
1. Fix the 1st Canton Village BOM block and make block 2.
2. Make Designer Mystery BOM block for October.
3. Make my block for my November partner for Block Swap Adventure.
4. Make my two flowers for The Inchy Hexagon Swap partner for November.
 5. Make my November block for Let's Bee Together.
6. Finish my November block for Birdie Stitches.

I know that I listed 6 things but I am almost done with #6. #1 is just some ripping, cutting, and resewing. I hope your week's goals are achievable.

Maniac Monday #6 on Wednesday again:)

Maniac Monday on Wednesday, LOL!

Here is my last list:

1. Make blocks 11,12, and 13 for Celebrate Christmas Quilt Along.
2. Let's Bee Together block for October.
3. Finish Le Petite Mon Ami.
4. Finish Le Petite Ric-Rac.
5. Pick out and cut fabric for Le Petite George.

I did number 2. I will show you below, but as far as any of the Le Petite, they have become UFO's. I will get back to the Celebrate Christmas Quilt Along block as soon as I finish a few obligations.

I will show you a few things that I did.

I made a pouch for my stitcheries. I love this cute fabric.
I added this pocket to separate my hoop from my floss.
 Here is everything in it.

I finished my September Birdie Stitches. So cute. Now that I look at it I forgot the yellow leaf at the bottom. I love these birdies!!

I finally finished my block for Let's Bee Together for Bailey. It sure was a fun block to make.

Now a few things that were sent to me.
Elizabeth from pieceful life was my partner for October for Block Swap Adventure. This is the block she sent me. The following picture is of some fabric she also sent me, LOVE IT!!

I received blocks 10 and 11for my turn from Let's Bee Together. This is from Melinda. Now I am just missing one more from Mollie.

This one is from Carolyn.
She sent me so extra fabric. A piece of Christmas fabric and a 30's fabric with sweet little flowers on it.

So my list for next week is simple. I don't want to bog myself down since I am starting late.
1. Finish a gift for a friend.
2. Canton Village BOM block 1 and 2.
3. Birdie Stitches for October.
4. Designer Mystery BOM for October.
5. Binding on Jayden's wall hanging.

I hope this will not be another bust.
