Each spring and fall Amy from Amy's Creative Side gathers quilt stories online to help us inspire and support each other. I have never been apart of it and thought I would jump in.
The quilt I am showing is one of the quilts I made for Hands 2 Help Challenge. It was organized by Sarah over at Confessions of a Fabric Addict for Green Fairy Quilts. Here is a video of what they did with our quilts. I loved doing this and I will be doing it again next year.
Here is my finished quilt:
Here is the pieced back:
The idea behind this challenge was that we would be paired up with a partner. You were to exchange 2 yards of fabric. You needed to take those 2 yards, add any fabric you wanted and make a quilt to donate to Green Fairy Quilts.
Here is what my partner sent me.
I then added the light tan and monkeys on the green back ground. I loved making this quilt. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Thank you for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteThat pattern reminds me of mosaic tiles. I have two small tables with mosaic stone tile tops and this made me think of them. Nice job!
