Le Petite~February

For February we were to make Sweet Spot. A Schnibbles pattern by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co. I got this one finished today. I am so happy, I finished one!! LOL! It has been since November. Oh well. I loved making this one. I chose to make it out of  Dilly Dally Charm Pack by Me and My Sister Designs for Moda Fabrics.

Here are the blocks as they are coming together. I love the fabric. It is so bright and fun!

Traveling Stash~WINNER!~

I won the Traveling Stash from NorthernNorthAmerican Bears 10 days ago. Now it is your turn to win it form me! I finally got all of my ducks in a row. I received the box last Thursday. I was so excited. My daughter and I went through it yesterday and took pictures and picked stuff out. What a great box of stuff. I am so happy to have my first give away. It is a milestone for me. I also hit my 100th post. How funny how things turn out sometime. Here is the picture of all of the stuff in the box that I received.

 This is the fun stuff I took. I am so excited about the purple/stars, stack of Hawaiian prints, and the novelties.

 This is the stuff I put in. 4 big pieces of 1/2 yard up to 2 yards. Some fun fat quarters, patterns, thread, little wooden pots, and pin cushion.

Traveling Stash~I WON!!

A few days ago I posted about the Traveling Stash give away. Well I won!! Debbie over at NorthernNorthAmerican Bears emailed me yesterday to tell me. I am so excited! Here is the picture of the stuff she added to the box. As soon as I get it I will take some pictures and post about it. I will also then be having my first give away to see where it goes from me. I will also be at post 100 by then. Sounds like a great time to have a give away. Oh and went to Joann's and bought a light bulb for $2.50. The light is yellow but at least there is light. I won't be to picky about it. LOL!!

Light Bulb and Block-a-palooza Block #2

I am an older Brother sewing machine. I have been using it for about 10 years. It is a great machine. Nothing fancy. My light bulb burned out today. I need to find a replacement. Does anybody use a different bulb then the one you can buy at Joann's for $2.50? I would like to find a bright white light not the dim yellow light I had. Any help would be great!!

Also I got my second block done from Block-a-Palooza over at Quilt Dad.

This was my fortune after lunch today with my honey. I am not sure what it is trying to say. LOL

Traveling Stash

It all started on January 3, 2011. Nan over at Pots and Pans did a post on Stash Manicure about her stash. She came up with a great idea. She loaded up a large flat-rate box with stuff from her sewing room. Fabric, notions, patterns. Then she would pick a winner and send them the box. The winner would then pick out what she wanted then fill the box back up with stuff from her stash. She then would have a give away on her blog. On and on. Well it has gone from Nan at Pots and Pans to Ariane at Ariane's Crafts then on to Debbie at NorthernNorthAmerican Bears. She is having a give away on her blog to select a winner to send the box to next. Where will it go from there? Go over to her blog and add your name. Who knows maybe you will win. Here is a picture of the stuff that she is adding to the box. I hope that you understood that.

Stray Stitches Think Spring give away

She is giving away this fabric, the line is called Cute As A Button by Ro Gregg for Northcott Studio.  The far left piece is a 2 yard cut of fabric.  The other 6 pieces are 1/2 yard cuts each.  That is a total of 5 yards of fabric.

RPQ~Red Pepper Quilts

Birdie Stitches Block of the Month

Over at Little Miss Shabby she has designed a BOM that I am doing. It is so sweet. I love the colors. She is using Sunkissed to frame the blocks. Again using what I have I am using Breakfast at Tiffany's. I got two charm packs and a jelly roll for Christmas. It is turning out so great. I have the first two blocks done. I can't wait to get them all done.

Block-a-Palooza Block #1

I am doing the Block-a-Palooza Quilt Along. I am so excited. I am a few weeks behind, but I don't care. I am not going to beat myself up over it. I am just going to ENJOY the process. I AM going to finish this quilt along. I had picked out my fabric a while ago. It is Hemming House that I won back in October from Sabrina Diehl at Doodle Quilts.

This morning I ironed, cut, and sewed my first block. <3I LOVE IT!<3 I was not sure if I would like this fabric in this quilt, I wanted to do it in Sunkissed like most others but there was just now way. My idea is to use what you have you might be surprised. I will be working on Block 2 later today. Have a good day everyone!

The Inchy Hexagon Flower Swap

I have joined another swap. I love hexies. After doing the Frosty Flakes quilting along with Dawn over at As Sweet as Cinnamon. I have learned that they are great fun to make. (Now I just need to finish that wall hanging, it is MUF now)

The Inchy Hexagon Flower Swap is where I have joined up with a great group of ladies that swap one finished hexie flower a month. How fun. I am so excited. I have months February and March done. I did them last night while watching the Super Bowl. I will post pictures when I know my gals have gotten them.
