Down on the Farm

I was able to figure out how I wanted the other two quilts to look. I picked out sashing, corner stones, and binding. I am not sure why I picked binding, it will be months before I get back to these tops, HA HA!! Oh well. I think I will just use one of the binding fabrics for the border on the first quilt. I am going to call that other one, Stars on the Farm. I will add those borders today. 

On with the other two quilts. This is as far as I got with this one. I will call this one Life on the Farm. Almost every block in this quilt is alive (or would be if it was not made of fabric.) Plants and animals. You need those things to have a farm. I hope to be able to get to the sashing today. As you can see in the bottom right of each of the pictures with the blocks on the bed, I was trying out sashing. I did not stick with the plan. Silly me!!

Here is quilt three, Canning on the Farm. This one reminds me of what happens when you have a kitchen day. Milk from the barn, your in the house all day canning, mixing, and sometimes you need boiling water. It is a stretch but it works for me. HA HA!! You can see the dark blue sashing, (that will go on the above quilt) but then I went with the purple. I like the darker sashing. I was not sure how it would look, but I like it. I will be adding a white border and then moving on.
